Our Mission

At Jells Park Kindergarten, our mission is clear: to provide a nurturing and enriching environment where every child can flourish, learn, and grow. We are committed to empowering young minds and nurturing their futures through a blend of education, play, and compassion.

Our Guiding Principles:

1. Play-Based Learning

We believe that play is the gateway to understanding the world. Our programs are designed to harness the power of play, allowing children to explore, experiment, and develop essential skills in a joyful and interactive setting.

2. Individualised Care

We recognise that every child is unique, and our approach reflects this diversity. We tailor our care and education to each child's distinct interests, cultural backgrounds, and developmental levels, ensuring a personalised learning journey.

3. Inclusivity:

We celebrate and embrace the rich tapestry of cultures and backgrounds within our preschool community. Inclusivity is at the heart of our mission, and we encourage an environment of respect, empathy, and understanding.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Jells Park Kindergarten Philosophy

Jells Park Preschool Philosophy At Jells Park Preschool, our mission is to empower children to thrive, learn and grow, enabling them to lead productive, rewarding and fulfilling lives while making positive contributions to our communities.

Jells Park Preschool operates under the guidance of a parent Committee of Management, working collaboratively with educators, families, and children. Together, we cultivate respectful relationships that foster a sense of belonging and identity within our community.

Our practice is underpinned by a strong commitment to:

Respect for the individual: Valuing and supporting each child as a capable, competent, curious, and unique individual highlights the importance of recognising and respecting the individuality and potential of every child in our care.

Collaboration and partnership: Embracing families as the children’s primary educators and collaborating with them emphasises the value of building strong partnerships between educators and families to support children’s learning and development.

Inclusivity and diversity: Acknowledging and celebrating the value of diverse families and cultural backgrounds demonstrates a commitment to creating an inclusive environment where all children and families feel welcomed and respected. We are committed to embedding indigenous perspectives throughout our curriculum.

Active learning and autonomy: Encouraging children to take the lead in their own learning and make choices with a positive, strengths-based environment promotes active learning and supports the development of autonomy and decision-making in children.

These values reflect a commitment to respecting and nurturing the individuality of children, fostering collaboration and inclusivity and empowering children to be active participants in their learning journey.
